5k
ok Tuesday i signed myself up for my first 5k. Up until about 2 weeks ago
I didn't even know how long of a distance that was. I needed some way
To hold myself account able, whatbetter way than to.just sign up.
The race i picked is.a fundraiser for breast cancer so its a great cause.
now i have about 84 days to get ready,i want to be able to jog the
Whole race.i am really excited because not only did i sign up i started a
Team that i am the captain of & every one on my team are first timers as
Well.i am so excited to see how this goes!

Gaining momentum
The wedding that i was trying to get in shape for as come and gone but I'm still walking. I was able to jog a mile without stopping for the first time in a looooong time about 2 weeks ago. A few days later my calf's started hurting so badly but i didn't want to stop. I added sprints to my daily cardio along with some ab, arm, and leg workouts. I'm feeling great my eating has improved tremendously over the past week and a half. The rain was awful here last week so I was not able to workout outside which I love so I did some p90x workouts inside Thursday and Friday and rested Saturday and Sunday. It must have been just what my legs needed! Yesterday was beautiful, hot, but beautiful! I was able to jog a mile and walk 2 my calf's were feeling great! I need to learn to listen to my body and rest when it tells me to because I finally got the scale to budge, with a 5lb weight loss. Tomorrow I am hitting the Grocery store to shop for some new recipes that I am going to try. We will see how that goes!

Give up??
June 11
It has been about a week since I have consumed any soft drinks or fast food.It's hard for me not to drink coke, that's my favorite. I have walked 2 miles everyday last week and I even talked my mind into jogging some. It feels really good to be active. Sticking to the portion control get difficult at times when eating things that I love the taste of. Confession #1 over eating was still a problem for me during more than half of my meals last week.

I walked 2 miles everyday this week EVEN Saturday! I jogged more and have decided that I'm going to push myself to jug not just to walk. I am eatinggood better... confession #2 I bought, baked and ate chocolate chip cookies 3 nights this week. .. Chocolate chip cookies are my weakness :( . After i ate them I beat myself up for it and started feeling pretty bad. That probably why I ended up eating them 3 nights in a row.

OK time to shop for a dress for this wedding... :( ... even though it has been about 2 weeks of walking, there is no difference in the way I look or feel.
Trying on all of these dresses makes me VERy depressed ugh! I ate a dark chocolate bar and then.. i found a really cute dress. It looked great on me! yes! and when the lady rang me up she told me that it was on sale and it was also HALF OFF the sale price $13.99 ..SCORE! The fact that i found a dress was great but on the ride home the self-bashing started over the stupid chocolate bar.. At that point giving up was looking sooo good i feel worse now than i did when i was not even trying..blah!

Fed up

I was invited to a wedding and normally I am excited to do things that I can get dressed up for but I cringed at the thought. I am at my heaviest so nothing in my closet fits. And shopping well that is just a nightmare for me at this point. I am so fed up with my weight! Tomorrow I am going to start walking in the evenings after work. And from this point on I will not eat any fast food or drink soft drinks!
I saw a quote a few months ago "Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment" I am going to adopt that attitude. knowing that dieting is to hard for me because Ilike love the foods that I eat so I'm just going to eat less. I'm also going to make decisions based on how it will make me feel after, NOT how it will make me feel at this moment.

Anyone who knows me knows about my struggle with weight.
At the age of 17 I was over weight and found out that I had a pituitary tumor. Once the tumor was removed I lost weight easily with no effort. I didn't struggle from that point until after I had children, now the weight is back due to pregnancy, genetics, lack of exercise and my VERY POOR EATING HABITS!
I plan to change the struggle- I am going to change the from a struggle to a journey and I am going to take control of my life.
